Dr. Elias
Dr. Elias Garza Jr is a Rio Grande Valley native who has over 20 years of worship and pastoral experience. Currently serving as Lead Pastor at Calvary Christian Center in Weslaco, Tx, he is passionate about leading people into the hope, victory, and vision available through Jesus Christ. Dr. Garza received his Doctorate through Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He is a fluent bilingual speaker who can cross generational boundaries to address specific or general audiences.

Dr. Elias Garza Jr. is a member of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC).
His devotion to provide leadership and mentorship for the present and future generations has inspired many to pursue and find their God-given calling. Together with his authentic leadership style, communication proficiency, and his passion for the Lord’s work, he is determined to continue to promote the faithfulness and commitment needed to live a life full of the Holy Spirit to produce a strong legacy of Christ-followers!
Dr. Garza has also participated as a songwriter and music producer in various musical productions including his own musical album and singles such as: “Sediento De Ti,” “Emmanuel,” “Jesus,” and many others.
Education
Dr. Elias Garza Jr. graduated from Weslaco High School in his hometown. He attended The University of Texas Pan-American where he graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration. Shortly after, he received his Texas Board of Education Bilingual Generalist EC-4 Certification. He then received his Certificate of Biblical Studies from Vision International University. More recently, Dr. Garza attended Liberty University for his postgraduate studies in Lynchburg, VA and earned a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry Leadership, and in July 2023, Dr. Elias Garza Jr. earned his (DMin) Doctor of Ministry in Christian Ministry Leadership at Liberty University.
